Okay, who doesn't enjoy an awesome mystery or an edge of the seat thriller? I know that I do. I have been a fan of mysteries since my first "Nancy Drew" novel decades ago. I remember begging my mom and dad for more books for my tenth birthday. As I got older, I moved on to Victoria Holt and Daphne du Maurier. For a while I got out of the mystery genre and went totally to Medieval romance. Not a bad change, but when I truly want something to take me away from everyday troubles, I will go for the serial killer on the loose type of book in a Georgia second!
So, when you find an author you love who writes suspense, do you want to read about the main characters in different scenarios in different books such as Eve and Roarke in J.D. Robb's "Death Series" or would you prefer to have secondary characters from the first book to take over in subsequent books, with a different hero and heroine every time, like Karen Rose?
I actually like both ways, but I'm curious as to what you like. You can let me know by leaving a comment and if you would tell me why you prefer which method. Also, just click on the button for the poll at the top of this page!
Hugs, God bless, and happy reading!
